Prelude
A clown, an actor and a performance that may never begin
About the show
Liudas dreams of becoming THE GREAT artist—if only he could stop postponing the performance.
“Prelude” follows Liudas, a poor but ambitious actor whose greatest dream is to perform as THE GREAT artist in a royal theatre. Yet instead of performing, he spends the entire show finding new ways to postpone it.
The work explores storytelling through clowning and acrobatics, with sound and imagination playing central roles. The audience is invited into the author’s universe—a place where logic disappears, yet everything somehow makes sense.
“Prelude” is still at a very early stage of development. Its characters, structure and performance language continue to evolve through research, residencies and work-in-progress presentations.
