“Gandras” is a contemporary circus performance for families, created for public outdoor spaces. At its centre is the stork: a cultural, natural and symbolic figure deeply rooted in Lithuanian identity.
The bird becomes a metaphor for migration, impermanence, the search for home and our relationship with the environment.
The performance responds to a familiar condition of contemporary life—constant acceleration, information noise and a growing distance from nature. “Gandras” proposes another rhythm: slowing down, noticing our surroundings and being fully present.
Created for the outdoors, the work allows its surroundings to enter the dramaturgy. Audiences are free to pause, watch, move closer or continue on their way, creating an open and unforced encounter with art.

Technical requirements
Space and layout
At least 6 m of clear vertical space and a flat, level performance surface. The audience may be arranged frontally or in a half-circle.
Rigging
The Chinese pole uses three or four tension points positioned on the ground or up to 1 m high, approximately 5–12 m from the pole. Each point must withstand a 400 kg working load. Suitable outdoor solutions may include certified ground anchors, concrete columns or heavy-duty trees.
Sound
A professional PA system appropriate to the venue and a 3.5 mm AUX connection at the stage or sound desk. The company operates music playback from its own laptop.
Setup and weather
Allow at least two hours for setup and warm-up. The company supplies and installs all specialised rigging equipment. The pole and floor must remain dry; the performance cannot take place in rain or on wet surfaces.
